A Junior Kiwi in 1998 and 1999, Fa'afili has now graduated from the Warriors' development squad to a full contract as one of the club's 35 contracted players. A winger or centre, he actually played in the second row for the Junior Kiwis against Australia in 1998 (partnering now well-established Warrior Ali Lauitiiti). A product of Manurewa High School, he also made the 1998 New Zealand Secondary Schools team. Last year he was on the wing for the Junior Kiwis against the Junior Kangaroos. In the Auckland competition, he scored 21 tries for a Manurewa side that made the Fox Memorial finals. He also starred in Auckland South's victory in the National Provincial Cup competition.
