Another Otahuhu product who's figured strongly in various age group teams. He made the New Zealand 18-year-old Academy team in 1998, a side that won the Oceania Under-19 tournament at Hopu Hopu. And he played in the centres for the Junior Kiwis last year, scoring tries in both tests against the Junior Kangaroos. Previously part of the Warriors' development squad, he's now one of the club's 35 contracted players. He was playing club football for Otahuhu in the Auckland competition last year when he was called in to train with the a Warriors squad ravaged by injuries and suspensions. Subsequently named on the interchange bench for the Ericsson Stadium encounter with South Sydney and came off the bench again in the home loss to Parramatta in his only first grade appearances. A loose forward or centre with a high skill level, he was in the Auckland South squad that won the National Provincial Cup competition last year (although he missed the grand final). He also played for beaten Otahuhu side in Auckland's Fox Memorial grand final, scoring 12 tries and kicking 21 goals for the team during the season.
