Place of Birth: NZ
Former Clubs: Glenora (NZ)
Weight: 86 kg
Height: 183 cm
Position: Player
Brought into the 1999 squad by Mark Graham out of the Auckland competition. Had been playing for the champion Glenora side where he impressed as a stand-off or fullback with good hands. The 1999 NRL season was just three games old when Beverley found himself rushed into the Warriors' starting line-up after Matthew Ridge was a late injury defection against his old Manly side. After playing at fullback in that game, he started at stand-off in the next outing against Sydney City but, for most of the season, he was an interchange player (he made only five starts and came off the bench 11 times). Scored the Warriors' only try in their home loss to South Sydney and bagged a double in the huge season-ending win over Wests. Showed real signs of development by the end of the year and is sure to be a useful back-up for first choice stand-off John Simon.
