 Lee Oudenryn
Age: 54
D.O.B: 8 February 1970
Place of Birth: Wee Waa, NSW
Former Clubs: Gold Coast, Parramatta
Weight: 90 kg
Height: 187 cm
Had a horror start to his Warriors career in 1997. Arrived after stints with Parramatta and Gold Coast only to suffer a serious training injury which put him out of action for much of the year. When he did appear at last it was clear how much the side had missed his exceptional pace. He scored two tries in his first run-on outing against Adelaide, starting each of the last four Telstra Cup games of the year and adding another two tries. Also figured in the second half of the Warriors' campaign in Super League's World Club Challenge (including two tries in a thrilling semifinal against Brisbane). That belatedly kick-started his career at Ericsson as he headed into 1998 as the Warriors' sole overseas player. It was a reflection of the Warriors' dismal year that a scoring threat like Oudenryn was able to score only three tries in 20 appearances. More on song last year, especially when the season turned around, with eight tries in 17 games, six of those in the last three matches. A player with a strong background in soccer and Aussie Rules football, Oudenryn came to prominence as a speedster when he beat Martin Offiah in a head-to-head duel in 1988. Occasionally used as a goalkicker at his first two clubs, has scored 41 tries in 111 first grade games (18 in 51 games at Parramatta, eight in 18 at Gold Coast and 15 in 42 at the Warriors).
