Warriors coach Stephen Kearney's breathing a huge sigh of relief following their tense 19-18 NRL win over the Sharks in Wellington

Blake Green put the Warriors ahead with a late field goal, but the Sharks almost levelled the scores after Lachlan Burr knocked the ball on inside the last 30 seconds of play.

Sharks half Chad Townsend then sprayed his attempted field goal wide, allowing the Warriors to hang on.

Kearney says thankfully for Burr and the team, it wasn't a costly error.

He says he wouldn't be smiling had the field goal gone over, but it's a big lesson for Burr and everyone else.

Meanwhile, the Panthers have breezed past the Dragons 40-18.
