Cronulla and Wests Tigers forced to play under NRL salary cap for next two seasons

Cronulla and Wests Tigers will be forced to play under the salary cap for the next two NRL seasons in a group of seven sanctions dished out by the governing body

    - article from www.rugbyleague.co.nz

The Sharks will have to play 350 thousand dollars under the cap in 2019 and 2020 and the Tigers 320 thousand for the same time.

Cronulla will have to offload one player at least before the start of the season, while the Tigers have a bit longer as they are currently under the cap but have not signed a full squad.

Both clubs have also been fined.

Among other sanctions, Bulldogs forward Dylan Napa will be fined 10 percent of his 2019 salary for historic lewd videos and Cowboys second-rower Scott Bolton will be banned for five weeks and fined 5 percent of his salary over an assault charge, if he agrees to address all the other clubs to explain his actions.
